Summer ’26:

Bears on campus! Spotted by Mariah and David

REU students Evan Weider and Chioma Chimezie-Ngoka present the work they conducted as part of the Biofilms NSF REU program at Binghamton.

Lindsey and Alexa both presented talks at this year’s NEMPET meeting in the Adirondacks. And most importantly… went kayaking.

March ’26: In collaboration with Dr. Laura Cook’s lab and Dr. Tracy Hookway’s lab, we are part of a team that was awarded $99,512 from the S.H. Ho Foundation to fund a new collaborative project focused on engineering synthetic vaginal microbiome communities.

November ’25: NSF REU Lab Alum Fatima Islam presents the summer research project at ABRCMS in San Antonio, TX.
